I wish I could afford to buy tickets, and fly to one of the places. I won tickets for Vegas, from MTV, to be in the pit for the Re-Invention tour. I paid for my plane ticket, and I invited a friend, who paid for his plane ticket. It was the most amazing show I've ever seen. I was on the stage, in the pit, and Madonna came by, and touched our hands. It was just the most AMAZING experience that I've ever had. To be that close to Madonna, and to see the amount of energy she puts out. AWESOME!

Well...with a 10 million dollar disco ball, she's gotta make sure she ups the ticket prices.
I don't expect it to be better than Re-invention (which was the best live show I've ever seen) but I do hope to have a great time.

2 things:
1) The "cross" rumor is true with regards to the tour. She sings Live To Tell on a cross. Sure to raise a shitstorm.
2) CD track listing for I'm Going To Tell You A Secret (live songs from Re-Invention Tour and tracks taken from the Documentary)
13. The Beast Within
14. Vogue
15. Nobody Knows Me
16. American Life
17. I Love New York (demo version)
18. Hollywood (Remix)
19. Die Another Day
20. Lament
21. Like A Prayer
22. Mother and Father
23. Into The Groove
24. Music
25. Holiday
26. Imagine

Since the CD is having live tracks (plus that demo of I Love New York), I'm praying that they're still interested in having the Re-Invention Tour come to DVD.
Oh...and they've also made the final decision to release Get Together as the final single. I think they've said that I Love New York is going to be the b-side.

Setlist for tomorrow's Coachella show:
1) Hung Up
2) Get Together
3) I Love NY
4) Ray of Light
5) Let it will Be
6) Everybody
This will be the last time Everybody is done live in this form. She's not doing it on the Confessions tour. I have the set-list for that as well at this point.

I'm back from Coachella (or should I say, I just woke up).
My ears are still ringing from spending the entire day in the dance tent. We were right in the front of the "regular" section. Apparently all the people that got to the tent first in the morning when the doors were opened got a VIP pass that allowed them to be right up against the stage. They also were able to hear madonna do her sound check that morning. We were about 30 feet from the stage, behind that section.
During the DJ's, we were able to watch about 4 or 5 of the dancers dancing with everyone else during the day. Cloud was taking pictures. Saw Liz Rosenberg walking through the crowd. Guy Oseary (her manager) was taking pictures of the crowd. Saw her stylist (??) moving through the crowd. The people there were insane. I got there around 2pm and we didn't move until after she was over. Probably around 5 or 6, the crowd stopped moving in and out. That was it. you were stuck. So I basically didn't eat or drink anything until after we left the show.
She put on a helluva show, as usual. As soon as she came on, everyone pushed forward like crazy which sucked because we were right up against the barrier. Unfortunately, i couldn't even lift my arms up to take a picture...but there are tons of them on the net. They weren't so good with taking cameras and whatknot because i know someone who videotaped the whole thing. not sure how the audio would come out because either the audio setup SUCKED or it just sounded like shit because my ears were shot.
Oh yes, they're still ringing as I type this.
Important notes:
She talked about it being her first festival and asked who was going to share the drugs with her and when no one offered, she said "where's the love? show me some love!" The audience went nuts.
she changed some stuff during I Love New York. She said "you can fuck off" and "Just Go to Texas and suck George Bush's Dick!" Everybody went nuts.
Took off her pants before Everybody because it was too hot (btw...it was 95 degrees most of the day. NO FANS). She asked us how her ass looked. Rubbed the feather boa through her legs, which took her about 3 times to actually catch it behind her ass.
She cut out the second verse to Everybody (Let your body take a ride...).
People threw water on the stage and after Ray of Light she screamed "stop throwing water on the stage, motherfuckers!" Ray of Light sounded completely different.
She played guitar on both I Love NY and Ray of Light.
The typical Stuart Price remix was used for Let It Will Be but it was a bit different from the Koko show.
The screams were deafening. You'd think it was the Beatles...but then again, she's probably our modern-day equivalent at this point. I guess it was a chance for a lot of casual madonna fans to see her perform without paying the insane prices that I do. At one point, the cameras were pointed OUT of the tent and there were people as far as the eye can see. Reportedly 1/2 of the 60000 people that were there were around the tent to see madonna.
There were also cameras filming the entire show and two screens set up on either side of the stage. Makes me wonder if it will ever see the light of day as a DVD extra. They even did the lighting test (I forget what it's called) before the show. A guy stood at the front of the stage with the black/white card held up for the cameras.
That's all I can think of. i bought a shirt. Pretty cool. My ears still hurt though. And looking forward to the final tour.

that's the best review i've read so far. sounds like an awesome time... minus the crowds, the heat, the crappy sound, and the ringing ears.
wish i couldve gone! seriously though, live 8 was the same exact way. i would guess about 5% of the crowd could actually see ANY of the stage- people as far as the eye could see.
i made sure i got home last night by 11:00 to catch the at&t blue room feed, but then realized that it wasn't going to happen. hopefully someone got a decent video.
thanks again for the review.

i heard the exact lyrics were:
you can Fuck off
Just go to Texas
and suck george bush's c*ck
could be wrong tho.
and yeah was at live 8 in philly... it was insane and not really even all that fun- most of the people there were pissed because the ONLY people (and i mean ONLY people) that could even see the stage were the v.i.p.'s with wristbands (not us, who had been camping out).
the best part was running into bon jovi on the street the day before just for the coolness factor and going out for philly nightlife

They were $25 but are fetching at least double on ebay.
